NDCS Challenges run UK and international, individual and team charity challenge events to raise money for the National Deaf Children's Society, the only UK charity solely dedicated to the support of all deaf children, their families, and professionals working with them.

Whether you raise £1 or £1000, your fundraising will make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of deaf children and young people worldwide. Fundraising for the NDCS means you are donating your time, energy and enthusiasm, as well as vital funds. These are priceless resources and the NDCS want to help you make the most of them.

NDCS Challenges have plenty of events for you to choose and participate in ranging from skydiving, walking, running and cycling events in the UK to trekking and cycling events all around the world in such far flung locations as Africa, China, Cambodia, Mexico, Cuba, India and New Zealand. Raise funds for the National Deaf Childrens Society by trekking the Inca trail, exploring the Sahara desert or by following the Great Wall of China; just a few examples of the the diverse challenging events offered by NDCS Challenges.

The sponsorship money raised from NDCS Challenges will directly support the work of the National Deaf Children's Society. Three babies are born deaf in the UK every day and 90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents with little experience of deafness. NDCS works to establish good communication between deaf children and their families by:

  • Offering clear, balanced information and support to families
  • Advocating for deaf children, young people and their families
  • Providing opportunities for young deaf people to develop social skills, confidence and independence
  • Working with professionals and policy makers to ensure high quality services are available for all
  • Campaigning and lobbying on behalf of deaf children, young people and their families

The NDCS vision is a world without barriers for every deaf child. Please help them empower deaf children and their families and realise their goal.
